Additional Notes

William's pic of North Window
F. Earl Williams photograph of the north window
taken in the 1940's with this painting on display.

This painting was seen in a photograph taken by F. Earl Williams and can't be matched to any other known works by Woodward. The painting is of the pasture and barn seen to the north from the Southwick Studio's North Window.

The barn and pasture can be seen in numerous other window paintings and is very similar to Unnamed #6. It could be that there is a diary entry regarding this piece but without a sepia print to match it with we are left to leave it unnamed. There is also the possibility that Woodward was never satisfied with the final product and never sold it and quite possibly destroyed it (see "Purple D" paintings). Until we know for sure, here is where it will remain in the hope that someone out there has it and contacts us.
