This painting hung along with 29 other paintings at Amherst. The show went so well, the entire exhibit was invited to to hang at the Syracuse Museum of Fine Art the following month. This painting did not make it which leads us to believe it sold at Amherst.

Additional Notes


The whereabouts of this painting is unknown and we have no idea what the subject could be. However, we chose to use October Brilliance (right) as a painting showing the "height" or peak of Autumn's colors. Woodward could have also named the painting in reference to a high place overlooking a scenic vista.
