Unnamed: Wintry Hills
The tallest tree on the right side of this painting is
the tallest tree to the left in High Above the Valley

From the pasture in Heath named Burnt Hill. Woodward bought the 160 acre property from close friends for two oil paintings. What he loved most about the pasture was its panoramic view of the Green Mountains to the east and Woodward's beloved home and its Buckland Hills to the south.

This vantage point however appears to be to the left of the iconic Beech Tree facing northeast. It is reminiscent of another chalk drawing, Unnamed: Wintry Hills, to the right, only Unnamed: Wintry Hills is closer higher and closer to the tree line, positioned further north which one only gets a glimpse of in High Above the Valley.
