This little bi-monthly newspaper, edited by yours truly (mlp), also the creator of this web site, was published for a number of years in the 1940s telling the local news as submitted by its readers. The "header" was a pencil drawing by Robert Strong Woodward.

We no longer have the original pencil drawing from which the banner was made.

Editor's Note:

The initials MLP are the website's founder, Dr. Mark L. Purinton who passed in March of 2020. He had done so much for his community, this is just one more thing. On that note, it is important to note that Woodward always set up when asked by the town, the church, or Dr. Mark to design something for print. He was, after all, the art director of his high school paper...
