This crayon drawing was received by homesick Mark Purinton while away in the Army Air Force during World War II. It was sent by RSW to remind Mark of his home in Buckland to be opened on Thanksgiving Day, 1945. It hung over his bunk for the remainder of the war, then on the wall of his room during Oberlin College days, then at his apartment during Medical School, Internship and Residency. It now hangs in his home at the Southwick Place in Buckland. It has been preciously loved for these many years.
