"Painted in 1933. Painted on Conway-Williamsburg Road at 'Wind'll Blow', the summer home of Aaron Bagg of Holyoke. Big old maple in full pale yellow bloom, growing at edge of stone wall and roadway---flat extended mowing to the left---beyond which flat section band of woodland, farm and low hills---a spring sky of tangled clouds overhead."
"This was painted in late April from the yard of the summer farm home of my friends Mr. & Mrs. Aaron Bagg in Williamsburg. Of all the photographs, this does the original the least justice, for it is very shimmering and delicate with light spring colors. The huge maple is in pale yellow bloom , the hills, pale violet and sky very spring-like in opalescent colors. 30 x 36"
"Spring iridescence, rock maple in bloom with pale yellow blossoms."
