Down to the Valley

We are unable to link this sketch with any known paintings, however, it resembles a number of paintings, such as, Down to the Valley, seen to the right. RSW especially liked the old dirt or unpaved roads common in rural Western Massachusetts... the treeline carving a canyon as if in a tunnel... the road itself, rutted and groved from years of use. Just the sort of character he liked most.
