"Painted around 1930 I think. Summer painting of Keach's twin barns. Bought by Mrs. P.R.B. Freylinghusen of Morristown, New Jersey, for the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. D. Sheldon of the same town."
Purchased from Martha Richardson Fine Art in Boston. It is now privately owned.
Mrs. Freylinghusen bought as many as 10 paintings of Woodward's, most of them from Manchester, VT. She was an avid collector of art having reportedly donated some 2000 pieces to the Metropolitan Museum of Art after her passing.
