"Probably the most striking canvas in the collection, one which catches the eye immediately on account of its life, is Summer Farm by Robert Strong Woodward who was recently elected to membership in the Grand Central Galleries in New York City. Membership in these galleries requires that the applicant paint a picture the value of which is at least $600 and that he shall have indicated ability to maintain this standard. In Summer Farm Mr. Woodward has expertly pictured an old New England farm with red barn and chickens scratching in the yard."
