This oil painting is signed by RSW however it has a large Purple "D" painted on the back of the canvas indicating that the artist wanted it destroyed after his death. It is locally owned and much loved.


This is an early painting, probably made in the 1930's showing what we believe is the distant peak of Camel's Hump Mountain in Vermont. Another painting painted around the same time, Vermont Barns, also has Camel's Hump in the distance but from the east in Riverton, VT. This painting appears to be from the westside of the mountain.
