The barn in this chalk drawing is the same barn, but from a diffrent perspective, as in the oil painting Vermont Barns.
Note that you can see Camel's Hump Mountain (VT) in the distance.
We want to also point out that Woodward made a border around this drawing that the framer,
rightfully so, left exposed. We honored this by doing the same on the featured image above.
It never cease to amaze us the intricate detail Woodward achieves with the use of pastels, particularly the blending of the aged wooden boards but we like to point out in the image above and to the left the area surrounding the title and his signature. Note the smooth brownish areas. That is the surface of the board he exclusively used in making his chalks. We believe he used this board because its tone resembles the look of earth and dirt.
