RSW's Diary Comments

As unfinished, Woodward would not have written or commented in his artwork diary. All the works of art were framed for their preservation in 2017.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

This unfinished painting of Mount Equinox does not resemble any other paintings by RSW. Most are from the other side and one is a straight on vantage point. None the less, this is clearly Equinox located in Manchester, Vermont. RSW often traveled to Manchester to attend the Southern Vermont Artist Association, Inc. exhibitions.

Additional Notes

This incomplete artwork was found in a forgotten shipping crate stored in an attic, as seen below, along with twenty other pieces. The crate is in excellant condition and is a wonderful example of how RSW shipped his paintings about the country to exhibit in various shows.
