We do not normally include artwork without an image in the "theme" galleries, however, these are definite
"Boston" paintings and the missing images may likely look very similar to the ones seen in this gallery. By
Woodward's own account in his "painting diaries" the old oyster house has two versions made from a chalk
he did on the spot. While we do not know what the 40 x 50 "Old boston" painting contains, it might very well be
made from the chalk drawing "In Old Boston."
